I'm My Own Mascot: Christmas Songs by Beatles
Though this is something I do every year, I've yet to actually have this exchange with my pal, Maximo. But I figured, out of all my friends in this comic, he'd be the least offended about being depicted as not knowing either of these songs (he listens to mostly video game music and all).
To be honest, I like them both pretty much equally. :D

Happy Holidays, everyone!
Hello Dear Readers!
I hope your November and your December have been and continue to be full of good food, good cheer, and warm friendships. That's what holidays are for, after all. Kevin and I have been taking a much needed break to tend to residual medical issues and to reassure our families that we still love them.
But even though Kevin and I have candy canes up our nostrils and a serious case of holly-on-the-brain, we've also been charting a course for Interrobang Studios in 2012.
I've started posting as much of our schedule as I can on our site's Convention Page. The number posted on the site will grow, because we're looking into about 22 shows for the year. I'll post them as we can, but for now, here's our projected schedule for the first quarter of 2012:

MAGFest X
We're always stoked to kick off the year right and MAGFest is promising big things! This is the 10th year for this show, and they've graduated into an amazing space at the Gaylord Convention Center in National Harbor, MD. Their guest of honor this year is Final Fantasy series composer Nobuo Uematsu and he will be performing live at the show! Add in 4 days of non-stop gaming of every type imaginable, and that's a VERY happy new year!
In studio news, Interrobang Studios proudly presents issue #1 of SUCKS TO BE WEEGIE complete with print-only content premiering at MAGFest

GigaCon 2012
This local show is held in conjunction with the Art Institute of Washington and full of budding talent and amazing workshops. It's run Friday & Saturday, so it's not your typical party-weekend show. However, if you've got any kind of interest in animation, character design, or illustration, this is an exceptionally informative and cozy show. Come get your learnings!

AlmaCon 2012
Why hello there, Michigan! Kevin's off to the frozen north in his hot pants to be a GUEST at this year's AlmaCon at Alma College in Alma, MI. Please note, THIS CONVENTION IS FREE TO ATTEND! The gracious folks in the Alma College Otaku and Gamers guild have thrown the gates wide open so that high schoolers, out of towners, in towners, and students from surrounding colleges will all feel welcome. Proceeds from rave and formal ball ticket sales along with income from the Charity Auction will benefit the Relay for Life Fund, an American Cancer Society Nonprofit dedicated to cancer research and survivor support. Enjoy the show for free and donate what you can.
Please look for Kevin's newest book issue #3 of I'm My Own Mascot, premiering at this show!

Katsucon 18
Kaaatsu-khaaan! Sing it loud and sing it long, Katsucon turns 18 this year! It's finally legal to have this much fun. Interrobang Studios will be returning to National Harbor, MD for Katsucon. The World Cosplay Summit will take place during the show and there's also some really awesome guests that we cannot wait to meet. So if the table's empty, check Stan Sakai's booth where we'll probably be pestering him to autograph every issue of Usagi Yojimbo that we own.

TekkoShoCon X
Tentative Artist Alley Registration will open in due time, and we'll apply alongside hundreds of other applicants. We'd dearly love to go, but at this point, we can't make promises.
So as you can see, we've got two new book launches planned along with a full docket of shows. We've been industrious little elves, even if we've been a bit quiet.
We wish you and yours a season of delights and comfort!

Hey gang! It's a long time coming, but the first collection of "It Sucks to be Weegie" comics is now available for preorder in the Interrobang Studios store! WOO HOO!!
We've been working pretty hard putting this together over our winter break and there's a few nifty extras to show for it. First off, we've created some new material exclusive to this book. There's 2 brand new comics, "The Legend" (which will be closest thing to an actual appearance by Mario in this series) and "Princess Bikini Party." There's also a set of "Super Loser Club" parody trading cards for you to cut out and enjoy. This stuff will ONLY BE APPEARING IN THIS BOOK and won't be online or anywhere else. We've also included an art gallery with some new stuff. However, what I had the most fun with was the 3 nifty variant covers we did for the first printing (it's the same book on the inside for all 3, but you can choose between parodies of the 3 original NES SMB games for the outside.)
Now for those of you who want all 3 of the covers, we've got something special for you. We're doing a bundle including all 3 covers, a t-shirt, a Weegie "It's Not Easy Being Green" print, and an exclusive badge, all for $50. So if you reeeaaally like "Sucks to be Weegie", it's one heck of a deal (and it really helps me and Sarah fund our other projects!)
The plan is to premiere the book at Magfest on January 5th and then ship preorders the week after. We're only offering the bundle and the variants while supplies last, so if you want 'em better get 'em now. Here's more info on Magfest...

Thanks as always for supporting our work. We really hope you guys like the book and we can't wait to see some of you at Magfest!
And as a side note, regular comic updates will resume on January 2nd! Happy 2012, everyone!
Sucks To Be Weegie: Green
This is the print we're giving away with the S2BW book/t-shirt combo. Check out the Interrobang store for more details.
Kevin and I had an awesome time with everyone who came out for MAGFest 2012. If we met you there, it was very nice to make your acquaintance and thank you for checking out the website! We'll be posting pictures from the show later this month.
We're headed to a super-cool show at the Art Institute of Washington this weekend.

GIGA CON 2012
Saturday, January 14th - Sunday, January 15th
If you're in the Washington DC region this weekend, and have an interest in the arts, animation, toy design, or character design work, I think you'd have an amazing time at this con! Tickets are available at the door for $10 (includes both days) and there are panels and workshops from big names in animation and design.
The first collection of "It Sucks to be Weegie" comics is now available for order in the Interrobang Studios store! Many of you have already placed pre-orders (thank you!) and your books are being packed up TONIGHT. My goal is to get them all ready for shipping tomorrow, so be looking at your mailboxes later this week or early in the next.
Beyond the show schedule and the books, I wanted to be sure I kept you all updated on Kevin's spinal condition.
You've probably noticed the slowed updates on all the comics. We're very sorry. Kevin has been testing his limits recently, and finding that there are times when your injury dictates your production schedule, despite your best intentions.
For everyone who saw Kevin or Kevin's post about being wheelchair-bound this weekend, please don't worry. It's not a fresh injury or a permanent development. He'd pushed himself too hard and we had to borrow the hotel wheelchair for the second and third days of the convention. By the end of the show, he was able to walk properly again. We both know that he will only continue to move properly if he takes better care of himself. I'll be keeping a close eye on him, so that we can keep having Kevin's silliness and Kevin's comics for years to come.
Thank you all for your well-wishes and your support. You've been an enormous source of comfort. If you're in DC this weekend, stop on by! It's a low-key show, so you'll have plenty of time to talk with us!
--Sarah
Bummer news, gang. Giga-con hit a bit of a snag. Sarah and I will not have a table at that show this weekend. The folks there were very apologetic, but their venue was changed at the very last minute. There's no real space for an Artist Alley now. They've had to cancel their artists' retail spots (and refund!) but they've still got all these classes and guests and demos lined up.
So while we won't have a TABLE at Gigacon, we're going to try to come out and support this DC show on Sunday as attendees. Perhaps we will see you there!
Also, I worked through the problems I've been having with Trigger Star and will begin posting again this Friday. All other comics will resume on Monday. Huzzah! As always, thank you for your support. Talk to you guys soon!
I'm My Own Mascot: Dashing and Dumbass: Popularity
I'm back from my little winter break with another Dashing and Dumbass tidbit for you to enjoy!
I'm My Own Mascot: Kitty Girl
I often imagine nightmare scenarios where my cats turn into people...usually when I have to clean up after kitty pukey hairball parties. ~_~
I'm My Own Mascot: Team Player
I guess it's just hometown pride. Oh well.
I'm My Own Mascot: Fandoms
You could probably replace those word bubbles with any two rabid fandoms of your choice. :D
I'm My Own Mascot: Marked
Ya' know, this is the kinda thing that turns people into Batman villains.
Trigger Star: Trigger Star Art Card #5: Saurkraut
Woo! Still crankin' away on these Trigger Star art cards between story arcs. We'll share this one and one more with you before we move on with the comic. Are there any particular side characters you guys would like to see in future installments?
Trigger Star: Trigger Star Art Card #6: Black Licorice
One more art card before we continue, here's our lovable baddie, Black Licorice. After a few more story arcs, we'll be back with Quiche & Bacon Powder!
#1. Kevin's going to ALMA-CON in Alma, Michigan as a guest from Feb 10th through Feb 12th!

The show is FREE TO ATTEND! Anyone in the midwest who ever asked, "how do we get a chance to meet you?" ...well, this is a pretty good way to go about it. Hop in the car!
#2. We're putting the finishing touches on the third collection of "I'm My own Mascot"
"MASCOT COMICS #3: You're Famous On The Internet" contains over 60 'I'm My Own Mascot' Comics and an exclusive 'Choose Your Own...' style story where you'll find fame on the net, or die trying.
It's available for pre-order in our website store and will ship in late February. However, if you're going to see us in person at ALMA-CON or the weekend after it at Katsucon, you can buy a copy in person! We expect the books to arrive just in time for ALMA-CON and we should be able to finish packaging all the orders before the end of February.
#3. A nice person on deviantArt set up a fan club for Kevin! She's running a contest and offering a 3 month Deviant Art membership to the winner. Kevin's chipping in with a prize too! Design a new logo for the fan club and you could win a dA membership and a free sketch commission from Kevin!
Trigger Star: Trigger Star Art Card #7: Quiche
I was hoping to wait another couple story arcs before I showed these off, but I'll be out of town for the next couple days for Katsucon and some other stuff and I didn't wanna leave you all hangin'. So here's no one's favorite stalker, Quiche. I'll see you guys next week for Bacon Powder and another check in with Breadbun and Saurkraut!
